The Iowa Legislature has ended the 2008 session. The Governor’s proposed reduction in Medicaid fees for anesthesiologists was not accepted by the legislature and anesthesiologists were included in the 1% provider increase in Medicaid fees that will become effective on July 1, 2008. We would like to thank all of our members for your assistance in contacting their legislators on this important issue. Together, we were able to make a difference.
